In order to access material and services at Stockholm University Library, you need a library card. This library card is valid at Stockholm University Library and it's branch libraries. There are two kinds of library cards at Stockholm University Library: the University Card and the Library Card.
By using your card, you agree to comply with the University
Library lending regulations. Whenever you
visit the Library, make sure you can present your library card.
Who can get a Library Card?
Students, Postgraduates/researchers, Guest Researchers, Teachers
Students and staff at Stockholm University
use the University Card as a library card.
To get a University Card you must be enrolled or employed at a
Stockholm University department or any equivalent organizational
unit at Stockholm University.
The University Card is issued by the University's
IT & Media Helpdesk.
Your University Card is personal and may not be used by anyone
else. By using the card you confirm that you've read and understood
regulations. Should your University Card be lost, you must
immediately inform the University's Helpdesk, so as to have the
missing card blocked. You may then get a replacement card.
Alumni at Stockholm University
Please continue to use the University Card as your
library card even after you have completed your studies.
You use the library's Library Card.
You must have reached the age of 18, and you must be able to
present a personal identity card. If you don't have a Swedish
social security number you need to be enrolled at some university
in Sweden. You get your Library Card at the Library.
