You need a library card to access our various resources. The card is required to borrow, to order from the closed stacks and for making reservations. The card also give University students and researchers access to the library's electronic resources.
As a student at Stockholm University
The university card works as your library card. To get a university card, you must be registered for a course. You can order the card via su.se/aktivera. By using the card you accept the library's lending regulations. The card is administered by the University's IT department. Read more information about the card.
As a researcher, teacher or employee at Stockholm University
Your university card works as your library card. You must be registered in SUKAT to get a university card. You can order the card via su.se/newcard. By using the card you accept the library's lending regulations. The card is administered by the University's IT department. More information about the card.
As an alumnus at Stockholm University
As an alumnus, you can continue to use your university card as a library card even after graduation.
As an external visitor
External visitors use the library's own library card. To get this library card, you must be over 18 years old and show your identity. If you do not have a Swedish identity number, you must be enrolled in another Swedish university to get a card.
