Open Access
The underlying idea of Open Access is that the sharing and communication of publicly financed scientific results ought to be free.
At Stockholm university a group of representatives from the four
faculties and the library have produced a preparatory study for an
Open Access policy.

In June 2006, based on this study, the Vice Chancellor declared
his decision to strongly recommend Stockholm University researchers
and teachers to deposit copies of their published articles in the
University's publications database. The Vice Chancellor also
decided to sign the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge
in the Sciences and Humanities.

Publishing in an Open Access journal
You may choose to publish your article in one of more than 3000
scientific Open Access journals available on the Internet. See DOAJ (Directory of
Open Access Journals).
Parallel publishing in DiVA
Parallel publishing (also known as post-print publishing or
self-archiving) means making your peer-reviewed, already published,
research article freely available in full text on the Internet. You
do this by publishing a copy of your article in the publications
database of your academic place of residence.
