Studying at the Library
The library offers different types of studying places, which we believe may provide a good and varying studying environment during your entire time as a student.
Zones
The library is divided into different zones. The upper
level is a quiet zone with over a thousand places for
silent reading, and places where you can sit and work with your own
computer. The ground floor is the zone where you
can talk. Here you can find sofas and armchairs where you work in
groups.
Computers
You can use your own computer to connect to the wireless network
throughout the library, but you can also use bookable computers.
They contain the most commonly used applications that you need,
such as Microsoft Office. They are situated furthest in on the
ground floor, in the area known as the Experimental
Field. You can sit alone or in groups at these places. The
computers are booked via the website. Once you're logged in, Click on
Group Study Rooms under My pages.
Group Study Places
If there are several of you working in a group who want to speak
freely without disturbing anyone else you can book a study room or
sit at one of the tables on the ground floor.
Rules for mobile phones
Remember that mobile phone conversations are not permitted
anywhere in the library. Treat your mobile phone as if you were in
a lecture, keep it on silent and exit the library if you need to
receive calls.
Please respect your fellow students
The library is your place to study and the staff's workplace.
Pick up after yourself and throw trash in the bins, or use the
recycling station at the entrance. Food is prohibited in the
library, but you are allowed to have drinks, fruit and sweets with
you.
When you need a break from your studies you can find the cafe
just outside the door. Always take your valuables with
you!
